Huxley vs Orwell: Who was closer?

Wednesday, July 1, 2009

Ok, first and foremost, I love music videos. I think its a great medium to express a short idea, done really well by some directors (Hype, Kevin Altieri, Francis Lawrence, Jeremie Rozan) and poorly by some, namely Kanye West. In this latest by Drake, one of the best songs to actually receive radio airplay and nationwide acclaim in YEARS, gets a diservice by a video more interested in slow motion shots and no plot than anything else.

But really, decide for yourself.

The Wrestler- The Movie, The Song

I know it came out awhile ago, but I just recently rediscovered "The Wrestler" by Bruce Springsteen. Great song for a great movie. Both are downright moving.

Blog Appreciation Part 2- Hot Chicks with Douchebags

Most of you have probably already seen this blog, but because it is probably one of my favorites due to its thoroughness and ability to make me laugh, I had to make sure you didn't forget about it.

I mean cmon, look at this guy. Any site that compiles pictures like this is hilarious without any witty commentary (which it has in DROVES).

Check it out at

New Clark Wallabees

Because I have homies who have been on Clarks since they were synonymous with Wu Wear. and Because these could be hiked in, worn to work, or out to the bars. Always an eviable quality in a show.

Read more about them at hypebeast.

Showing Appreciation...

Check out this blog post from Classical Greek Theatre regarding the Jonas Brothers. I agree wholeheartedly with everything he illustrates. Definitely worth a read.
